At the core of Prolific is our fast-growing platform, which connects thousands of researchers with tens of thousands of participants. This allows researchers to screen for samples of verified participants, manage the process of running studies with them online, and paying them. To support the rapid growth of our platform we're looking for keen developers to join our front-end team.
We're looking for a candidate that is early in their software development career and is looking to take the next step. You'll play a key role designing and developing our web client. You should have a bit of professional experience in front-end development and are capable of learning on the job. We're looking for a candidate who will grow with us. We’re an early stage startup so you’ll have the opportunity to have significant influence over the trajectory of the product.
What you'll be doing:
Building and maintaining a well-established app written in Vue.js
Helping to design products that are loved by our customers
Solving difficult technical challenges
Collaborating with a multi-disciplined team, including back-end engineers, product managers and researchers
Writing unit and integration tests for your code - we have a strong testing culture
Learning new skills and processes with the guidance of senior developers
An eye for design and a good knowledge of CSS
Experience with technologies like Webpack, Vue.js CLI, Sass
Familiarity with testing and continuous delivery practices

Salary: £35,000-45,000 (p.a.), negotiable based on experience

You’ll be joining an enthusiastic team of 14. We are based in Oxford, and distributed across the UK and Ireland. Unfortunately, we are currently unable to sponsor visas. As such, applicants have to be based in the UK or Ireland (we are looking to expand in the near future!).
