Junior Rails developer

Hey! We're a VC-funded startup trying to help businesses in the activities/experiences industry come online and grow by increasing revenue and reducing admin.

We try and be very open and transparent at all times. Everyone in the team has pretty much unrestricted access to same information, data and analysis that the founders have. We want to try and build the company with happy employees, and I think I'm fairly safe in saying that so far it's going pretty damn well!

We're looking for our first junior hire to join our tech team of 5 others - it presents a great opportunity to be surrounded by talented folk and really accelerate your learning.

Our Stack

• Rails 6
• React/Apollo/Next.js
• RSpec/JEST
• PostgreSQL (SQL used directly a decent amount for some advanced queries)
• Heroku/Vercel

Essential skills

• Ability to comfortably build flows (views/controllers/models) in Rails
• Excellent communication
• Demonstrable testing skills
• Familiarity with git basics

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Graphql
• Experience with React
• Experience with SQL
• Experience working in a tech team
