I completed the CodeClan course in Edinburgh in January 2016 and have been working for the last year with Registers of Scotland as a software developer. I am looking for opportunities to collaborate and teach coding.
I am a JS / Swift Developer. Previously ran a coding working startup in NZ / UK, so have a deep passion for teaching people how to program at all levels (6-70). Currently building sparedesk.co. I have been involved in a number of diversity organisations.
I previously volunteered as a coding mentor at CoderDojo in London during my CS MSc there last year, and I am keen to keep helping people to learn how to code now that I live and work in Berlin; especially if they never thought they'd be able to code.
I want to get over my imposter syndrome and fill the gaps in my basic knowledge that I have noticed lately. At the moment I am trying to build my personal website from scratch. Happy to help out as much as I can, I'm keen in sharing my skills.
I'd love to help individuals who have an interest in learning to build things and hopefully have an interest in joining the tech industry. I've worked in a dozen companies over the past 16 years, focusing on the web as a platform for impacting the world.
I just graduated from the Founders & Coders bootcamp, and also just mentored the next cohort for a week. I want to keep teaching and helping people who are learning to code. I have lots of HTML/CSS experience, and a reasonable amount of React.
