I completed the CodeClan course in Edinburgh in January 2017 and have been working for the last two years with Registers of Scotland as a software developer, mainly in JS and Java. I am looking for opportunities to collaborate and teach coding.
I work with people and code for a living. I love to get creative and help customers solve their problems via coaching them, turning their wishes into technical requirements and actual working products.
I've been a software engineer for close to 8 years. Being a self-taught software developer, I believe that anyone has the ability to learn how to code, and I would like to support new/less experienced developers learn/ improve their development skills.
Canadian backend engineer at a Fintech startup here in London. I work with Java, microservices, databases, AWS, pipelines, etc. I am giving my first technical talks in May at µCon London 2019 (on building a search microservice and independent services)!
I've been collaborating in some open source projects for a while, I enjoyed join a community and also help to grow a community. Now, I'm dedicating effort into learning outside the development world, like Product Manager skills and UX
I was lucky enough that I could be sent to university, but I know other people are not, so I'd like to give back to the community. I have never taught a course or similar before but I have experience in Java, Python and various frontend technologies.
I enjoy mentoring, and have trained a few graduates in Java (Spring, JPA) and JS (React). I like students who have questions, and can communicate what they're thinking. Advanced students get a lot out of me. I also like low-level stuff and devops.
