Designing for Everyone: Building Accessible and Inclusive Interfaces - part of codebar Festival 2026
Wed, 18th March | 12:00 - 13:30 GMT (GMT+00:00)

As part of codebar Festival, this virtual technical workshop with Michael Okolo is a practical, beginner-focused introduction to designing accessible and inclusive user interfaces.

The session covers the core principles of accessible design — including colour contrast, spacing, typography, focus states, keyboard navigation, and semantic structure and explains why these fundamentals improve usability for all users, not just those with disabilities. It also highlights small, meaningful improvements developers can make immediately and introduces easy tools for testing accessibility, such as Lighthouse, Axe DevTools, and contrast checkers.

This workshop will be virtual and held on Zoom, you'll receive the Zoom link on the morning of the workshop. This will be recorded and uploaded to our YouTube channel after. If you have any questions, please drop us an email [email protected].
