Building Search Experiences on the Web with Elasticsearch - part of codebar Festival
Mon, 4th March | 18:00 - 20:00 GMT (GMT+00:00)

Join us as we kick off codebar Festival 2024 with Carly Richmond 🎉

Search is used in many websites and applications that we use every day. From filtering for the size of shoes we want to buy, to asking search engines questions, the way we search for information has changed significantly. Therefore the applications we build also need to change.

Join us as we learn how traditional text analysis and semantic search work, and how Elasticsearch queries and vector search capabilities can help you build a search experience in your web application with JavaScript.

This workshop is intended for:

  • New developers getting started with Elasticsearch.
  • Web developers interested in adding search experiences to their websites.
  • Anyone interested in understanding how semantic search differs from traditional text search.

Participants require basic knowledge of JavaScript, although snippets will be provided.

This workshop will happen on Zoom, you'll receive the link on the morning of the workshop. This workshop will be recorded and uploaded to our YouTube channel after. If you have any questions please drop us an email [email protected].
