Is 2020 going to be the year you make the change and go for your first developer job?

Are you from a non-tech background, worried you don’t have the ‘right’ experience, or not sure how to build your developer CV and profile?

Whether you’re already job hunting, or you’ve just started coming to codebar but considering a future career change, join our CV workshop on Saturday 18th January.

Digital technology recruiter Luke Thompson will share his knowledge of helping applicants stand out, and will be looking at:

• What companies look for when hiring
• What you should look for in your first role
• Writing your personal profile
• Structuring your CV
• Your profile on LinkedIn and Twitter
• How to search for jobs
• What can help you stand out



What to bring

You will have time to work on your profile and CV, so please bring your laptop and current CV if you have one (no matter how unpolished it is!) or at least a rough outline as a starting point.

Schedule

12:00 — Arrival and introductions. Sandwiches, drinks and snacks provided.
12:30 — Workshop starts.
15:00 — Finish.
