Get to know a Accessibility Specialist
Fri, 27th August | 12:00 - 13:00 BST (GMT+01:00)

“Get to know a …” series is a lunchtime talk series where we’ll be chatting with people who code in their job roles. We want to expose our community to the huge variety of roles possible that involve coding, not just Web Developer or Software Engineer. To read more about the weekly series please read this blogpost.

This is the last one in the series and we'll be chatting with Beverley Newing, an Accessibility Specialist. What is accessibility? What does an accessibility specialist do on a day-to-day basis? Beverley, a former developer and now the accessibility lead in Digital and Technology at the Ministry of Justice, will be answering these questions and more.

The first 20 minutes of this session will be Beverley talking about their role, what they do, how they got the role, followed by a Q&A where you can ask them any questions you have about the role.

This session will be on Zoom, you'll receive the Zoom link on the morning of the session. This season will NOT be recorded. If you have any questions please drop us an email [email protected].
