Get to know a Hardware Developer
Fri, 30th July | 12:00 - 13:00 BST (GMT+01:00)

“Get to know a …” series is a new lunchtime talk series where we’ll be chatting with people who code in their job roles. We want to expose our community to the huge variety of roles possible that involve coding, not just Web Developer or Software Engineer. To read more about the weekly series please read this blogpost. In this first one, we'll be chatting with Damon Hart-Davis, a Hardware Developer. Damon has been developing hardware since his job before university. His current role is CTO, developing a heating control that doesn’t need user programming or WiFi, etc, and can save 30% off your heating energy bill. The first 20 minutes of this session will be Damon talking about his role, what he does, how he got the role, followed by a Q&A where you can ask him any questions you have about the role. This session will be on Zoom, you'll receive the Zoom link on the morning of the session. All sessions will be recorded and uploaded to our YouTube channel after the session. If you have any questions please drop us an email [email protected].
