HTML & CSS from Zero to a Real Website. A Practical Beginner Workshop - part of codebar Festival 2026
Mon, 16th March | 18:00 - 20:00 GMT (GMT+00:00)

As part of codebar Festival, this beginner friendly virtual technical workshop with Oluwatobi(Tobi) Salawu introduces HTML and CSS through a hands on, project based approach designed for people who are learning to code or are early in their tech career.

This workshop starts from the absolute basics of how the web works, including setting up a simple and professional development environment using VS Code and the browser. You'll be guided through the core building blocks of HTML and CSS, focusing on understanding how web pages are structured and styled in real world projects rather than abstract theory.

The later part of this workshop introduces modern layout techniques used in professional front end development. This includes breaking down designs into smaller sections, using Flexbox and CSS Grid to create structured layouts, and aligning headers, icons, and navigation elements.

By the end of the workshop, you'll have built and styled a complete web page and will feel confident continuing their HTML and CSS learning journey.

This workshop will be virtual and held on Zoom, you'll receive the Zoom link one the morning of the workshop. This will be recorded and uploaded to our YouTube channel after. If you have any questions, please drop us an email [email protected].
