Join us this National Coding Week for a beginner-friendly workshop where we demystify "prompt engineering" and use Google AI Studio to start building your personal tech portfolio.
We will begin with the basics, looking at what makes a prompt "bad" or "good" and why the right details matter. Then, we will move on to a live portfolio build, where you can follow along step by step in Google AI Studio to create code for your own portfolio landing page. To help you continue building your portfolio after the workshop, you will receive take-home templates. You can keep these templates to finish your portfolio later. At the end, we will have a Q&A and show-and-tell time, where everyone can safely share (if they want, of course!) their AI-generated landing pages and celebrate our different creative ideas.
To help you keep learning after the workshop, all codebar members who attend will get free access to the courses in the Google Professional Certificate program.
This session is strictly jargon-free and designed specifically for the codebar community. Whether you are a bootcamp graduate, a career changer, a returning parent, or completely new to coding, you will leave with practical skills and a tangible project. No prior AI or programming experience is required.
