Start Before You’re Ready with Amber Shand
Tue, 1st August | 18:00 - 19:00 BST (GMT+01:00)

The idea of starting something new can be intimidating, especially if we feel like we’re not fully prepared. But what if we flipped the script and started before we felt “ready”? That’s the concept behind the talk “Start before you’re ready.” Amber will be sharing her experience with daring to be audacious that helped her to eventually become an award-winning inspirational woman in tech.

She will be sharing her personal experience and provide actionable tips on how to jump into the unknown with confidence. This talk is perfect for anyone who has been holding back on a dream or idea and needs a push to take that first step towards making it a reality. Get ready to be inspired to take action, even if you’re not quite “ready” yet.

During this session, you’ll learn:

  • What perfectionism is and how it differs to a healthy pursuit for excellence
  • To recognise the thoughts, feelings, fears, and behaviours that stop us from taking action
  • To build an intervention toolkit in response to unhelpful patterns
  • How to embrace fear and build a growth mindset to take action toward your dreams and ideas
  • Strategies to lean into courage and community to gain momentum toward your goals

This talk will be virtual and held on Zoom, you'll receive the Zoom link on the morning of the talk. This talk will also be recorded and uploaded to our YouTube channel after. If you have any questions please drop us an email [email protected].
