codebar Brighton Festive Party!
Tue, 13th December | 18:30 - 21:00 GMT (GMT+00:00)

Please email brighton@codebar.io and let us know if you're entering the Festive Show and Tell! *

It's end-of-year party time!

Come and join us for some festive fun at The FuseBox.

We want to celebrate YOU. Our wonderful students and coaches for all the amazing things you have achieved and all the help you've given this year!

Refreshments for the evening are kindly being sponsored by Cogapp and Tilt. We will have a selection of seasonal snacks, non-alcoholic and boozy drinks.

Dress up (Christmas jumpers!) is encouraged (but not required).

Festive Show and Tell!

Open to both students and coaches.

We'd love to see what you've been learning, so we're going to have a Christmas/ festive themed show and tell. Make absolutely anything, with whatever language/ library/ technology you like. As long as it's suitably festive!

Ideas

Have a look at Christmas-themed pens on CodePen.

  • Make a simple festive web page
  • Create a festive scene with CSS
  • Animate some snowflakes
  • Experiment with web typography and typeset a Christmas song
  • Make a seasonal text adventure game
  • LED Christmas decorations
  • Make a generative Christmas jumper pattern

It doesn't even have to be code — we've had a codebar Christmas carol before!

If possible, email your finished CodePen/ files/ URL link to brighton@codebar.io before midday on Tuesday 13th December.

* Spaces are limited and priority goes to those entering the Show and Tell — so let us know if you'll have something to show, to guarantee your spot!
