Teaching through Story-telling
Mon, 16th April | 18:30 - 20:30 BST (GMT+01:00)

The goal of this workshop is to show participants how to use the core principles of story-telling in their teaching style. Storytelling has been used to explain entire new worlds and keep readers engaged the entire time, let's do the same for coding education.

The style will be talk + interactive sessions. Through practical code examples, participants will learn how to shift their teaching style to use the power of conflict, character development and resolution to hopefully retain students interest and deepen their understanding of the "why" behind everything we do. As future software developers, understanding more than just the "how" is crucial to being creative in problem-solving.

This workshop is aimed for coaches or coach-to-be. Please register as a coach if you normally coach at codebar workshops, and a student if you are currently still a codebar student but will soon become a coach. If there are no spots left, please email [email protected] to join the waitlist.
