Gender Pay Gap Data Hack

On 22 & 23 June 2018, codebar, the AI Club for Gender Minorities, and Ellpha Citizen are combining forces to dig deeper into the UK's Gender Pay Gap data!

The Gender Pay Gap Hack is a UK-based collaboration between codebar, the AI Club for Gender Minorities, and Ellpha Citizen to use Data Science to discover new, actionable, and high-impact insights about the UK's Gender Pay Gap Data.

This is event is for both COACHES and STUDENTS. This is a safe space hackathon with a strict Code of Conduct. We would LOVE anyone interested in the Pay Gap topic to apply! This is designed to be a fun, productive experience for those wanting to contribute, but who may not have attended a mainstream hack before.

Friday 22 June, 6pm-9pm, at BuzzFeed: We will be discussing the data sets we have and organising into teams. The teams are not for competition, but collaboration: there are a number of interesting topics to investigate and it is more productive to do so in small teams. Also, there will be food, drinks, socialising!

Saturday 23 June, 9am-6pm, at BuzzFeed: All day data hack! 9-10am, we will serve breakfast and teams can start working. Lunch will be provided at around 1pm. At 5pm we will present our findings to each other and celebrate the day!
