In this workshop we'll be looking at building up two new skillsets. First, we'll get ourselves acquainted with the concepts and applications of flow-based programming (a way to create programs visually instead of writing code) using the open-source IDE Node-RED.

We'll cover
  • What is Node-RED?
  • What are nodes/flows?
And then we'll some simple applications.
  • A basic web server
  • A photo booth
Following that, we'll put together some additional flows to interact with artificial intelligence APIs.
  • Speech to text + Natural Language Understanding
  • Visual Recognition + Face analysis
