Warming Planet: Visualising Climate Change Data with Python - part of codebar Festival
Thu, 7th March | 18:00 - 20:00 GMT (GMT+00:00)

Join us as we continue codebar Festival with Charlene Kuye 🎉

Together we'll recreate the iconic Warming Stripes image by Professor Ed Hawkins from the University of Reading. Using Python and data from NASA we will plot and visualise the global temperature data from 1850 to 2018 showing the progressive heating of our planet in a single, striking image. It’s a fun but vivid display in how global average temperatures have risen over nearly two centuries. It also introduces learners to coding with Python and data science concepts. Read more about Warming Stripes here.

This hands-on workshop is designed with the beginner in mind, those who are new to Python and data analysis.

This workshop will happen on Zoom, you'll receive the link on the morning of the workshop. This workshop will be recorded and uploaded to our YouTube channel after. If you have any questions please drop us an email [email protected].
