Karan Thakkar (he/him) : "Bending Keynote Animations To Your Will (Sometimes)"

This talk is aimed at showing you some tricks that you can use to embellish your keynote presentations with animations, etc. to maintain context for the audience.

Bruno Girin (he/him) : "Web in colour"

There are different ways to specify colour values in CSS. To understand how those methods work, it's useful to understand how a computer handles colour. This talk goes through the basics, introduces how RGB and HSL colours work. It then introduces the concepts of transparency, shades and tints and it finishes with a short introduction of colour related accessibility.

Richard Kirsch (he/him) : "How to CTO: A Blagger's Guide"

A startup’s first CTO has to wear many hats: lead developer, designer, IT support, team builder, fire fighter, and more. Sometimes the CTO will never have been any of these things before. This talk will cover the essentials for muddling through, making it up as you go.

Kate Beard (she/her) : "Soft intro to WebVR"

The world of coding virtual reality doesn't have to be a scary shadowy place far beyond reach. With new libraries like A-Frame, VR can be as close as popping a few HTML tags onto your page. This lightning talk will walk you through creating your first VR environment, understanding a bit of what you can do to customise and change the basic shapes/textures provided, and leave you with some resources to dive into going forward.
